Adult Sunday School at Greenville ARP Church
A business leader with over two decades of professional experience, Edwin Shoffner serves as president of Mattress By Appointment in Greenville, South Carolina. Outside of his activities at the company, Edwin Shoffner invests in real estate, follows professional sports, and serves as an active member of the Greenville Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) Church.
In addition to weekly worship services, Greenville ARP oversees ministry outreach programs and a variety of Sunday school classes for adults, adolescents, and young children. The church’s adult classes are all Bible-focused and organized mostly according to age. Currently, Greenville ARP oversees eight adult Sunday school classes featuring lessons led by class members and other volunteers.
To focus discussions and study, the classes incorporate the ARP Adult Quarterly. Published by the Education Ministries of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, the Adult Quarterly offers commentary and a curriculum focused on each book of the Bible. The publication is meant to serve as a guide for readers on a six-year close study of the Bible.
Along with exploring the Bible in depth, those who attend Greenville ARP’s adult classes study books by talented Christian writers. Class attendees also have the opportunity to take part in service projects and social activities with other church members.
