Mattress by Appointment President Discusses Ideal Owner/Operators

A leader in the field of retail mattress sales, Edwin Shoffner currently serves as president of both Mattress Wholesale and Mattress by Appointment in Greenville, South Carolina. The franchise distributorship and licensee opportunity authority, Business Opportunity, recently sat down with Edwin Shoffner for an informative interview.

During the interview, Mr. Shoffner described the ideal candidate for the independent owner/operator position for Mattress by Appointment. He mentioned that the organization is seeking hard-working individuals who want to decrease their weekly hours on the job. Although they don’t necessarily need to have a background in sales, potential owner/operators should have exceptional time management skills and be able to adhere to an extremely regimented weekly schedule.

He also stated that a good Mattress by Appointment owner/operator must be able to understand and adhere to a specific company business plan. Furthermore, a potential owner/operator must also be willing to complete a series of “New Dealer” training classes and participate in biweekly Skype meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
