Tony Parker Signs with the Charlotte Hornets

An entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in sales, Edwin Shoffner is the president of Mattress By Appointment in Greenville, South Carolina. Outside of his career, Edwin Shoffner supports local sports teams and holds season tickets to the games of the Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets recently signed guard Tony Parker, a six-time All-Star. Parker comes to Charlotte from San Antonio, where he spent 17 seasons and helped the Spurs win four NBA championships.

Parker especially excels in the postseason, joining only three other players — Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant — who have scored 4,000 points and recorded 1,000 assists in the postseason. A standout player in assists, Parker holds the Spurs’ all-time record with 6,829 career assists. He trails only two current NBA players in total career assists.

At the international level, Parker represented France in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. He also helped the team win the Gold Medal in EuroBasket 2013, the European Basketball Championship.
